This measuring device is compact, easy to use, and uses one 9-volt battery. It has a limited distance range, which I have found to be about 20 feet. Beyond that, its reliability gets dicey.
I am very satisfied. I was pleased to note that the unit's laser bounces off glass as well as walls. The fact that it does two way straight line eliminates the 50' limit problem. I like the SF and volume measurement as well. The only minor problem is that at 50', the reflective service must be significantly large; can't use a friend holding a note book. I highly recommend this item.
It's a great product and certainly does the job it's intended to. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the switch button is too easy to press, which means it can be turned on while inside a bag and waste battery. I got a little protection for it and don't have this problem anymore.
Product is useful and easy to use for quick/rough estimates. But it does not work well if the surface is not hard and somewhat smooth. it is also not very accurate. I measured a short space and I got a couple of inches error.
Good for basic measuring with big solid walls or structures. Not good for narrow beams or such.
